No bra, no undies= guilty pleasure

That’s how I used to go to lectures in the morning in University. No bra, Β no undies, just a good old hoodie and sweatpants. There was a debate in class once about how one “should” dress when attending a lecture or seminar but I’m not going to go there.

Don’t tell me what I should wear (or shouldn’t), but I’m also going to tell you not to knock it until you try it! For those of you who have or whom may be secret under the clothing birthday suit goers, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. It’s pure heaven or what I would imagine I would feel like if there is a heaven… if I even make it there… I’m not baptized! Am I still allowed in? ANYWAYS

There is something about being naked that makes everything more gratifying and cheerful. Like for instance sleeping naked. Haven’t tried it? DO IT TONIGHT. You will never ever go back to sleeping with jammies on. At first you might feel a little vulnerable but the moment those cool sheets hit your body, I promise you will have the best nights sleep you have ever had.

Side note, I have also heard that people who sleep naked have more confidence in themselves than those who don’t. Just saying πŸ™‚ #nakedconfidence

I believe that having guilty pleasures should be fed into in everyday life (in moderation of course). Whether it’s a mini DIY yoga corner, and couch full of throw blankets and pillows, having your favourite glass of wine at the end of the day, entering into a hot dog eating competition, looking at cute puppy videos on Youtube while on the toilet, playing Pokemon go, or eating a big bowl of chocolate covered pretzels or hummus. Whatever your into! It is essential to do or have something that can bring you happiness! Speaking of which today I splurged on some of my guilty pleasures.

I bought a brand new oversized polka dot throw pillow for my bed (did I need it? Not really but who doesn’t need a little polka dot in their life), and to accompany me while I lay on this pillow I bought two new books: The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood and The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes.Β I have already read The Handmaid’s Tale in school a while ago but wanted to re read and Shonda Rhimes is a writing genius and I’ve heard many good things about this book. Reading as odd as it might sound to you non-readers, is another one of my pleasures that is not so guilty because, might I add, I am an english literature honours grad. But I also own about two bookshelves and 5 bins full of books… scholarly… not a guilty pleasure.

Also please let me know your thoughts if you’ve read any of these works, OR maybe we can read along together and start a little online book club! (I’m getting carried away with these ‘clubs’ Jelly Sandals Club, Book Club.. what next!?)

Of course nothing in my life is complete without a good solid taco feast (only three relax), which would have been nice with a pitcher of Margarita but lets be serious I work tonight but maybe you can have one for me πŸ™‚ !

So indulge in your guilty pleasures today! Stop and think about what are some little things or big (just don’t blame me for spending thousands on a new couch you didn’t need just because it might have polka dots. Buy the pillow instead), that make your day just a little bit more satisfying. Enjoy those things and then do them again; in moderation.

Let me know what your guilty pleasures are and I hope you take my advice and sleep in the raw tonight. You won’t regret it!

Happy Sleeping!

  1. Gilmore Girls has been my guilty pleasure but I just finished watching the entire series and reunion episodes…I am in need of a new guilty pleasure but one that won’t terrify my kids if they jump into bed with meπŸ€”
